Advance Tower of the Lunette (Observatory)

At the foot of the Mount Censo, the summit of the Mount Parlessi was levelled, excavated and transformed following the project of the engineer del Genio of Napoleon Bonaparte, in order to create space for the fortress, then remained incomplete.
At the summit of that pyramid stands the tower, characterised by the colour of the rock and by machicolation, which could not be reached by the enemy and that could be mistaken for a peak. It works as a sentinel of the valley and at the same time, it is a fearsome turret where to arrange the cannons.
The tower is accessible only from a real small underground fortress that rises the mountain slope, without giving an apparent external signal, which only a watchful eye can notice.
