During the Napoleonic period, the fortification works of the high part of the Rocca d’Anfo included also the Batteria Belvedere as control of the north side of the Valley.
In the historical documents, it is readable: the mastic of the Batteria Belvedere is produced and it discovers the approaches and the “scarpamento” of the Tyrolese side and the building of the Batteria toward the Tyrol. It runs the “scarpamento” of Risalti (nowadays Batteria Tirolo) and Casamatta (nowadays Batteria Rolando). Then, wall surfaces can be built and they have to look at the approaches of the Fort toward the Tyrol.
